Chocolate and Boots
I'm feeling kind of lazy.  But I want to update.  So... I'm using Instagram pictures only haha.

I am now an art history major! It is the best (academic) decision I've made in awhile.  I love it so much. Notice that I have 4 Medieval art textbooks.  It just happens to be my favorite class.  I seriously love it.  I don't care how strange that sounds.

I went to devotional this week with Grant and one of his rommates.  I never go so I took a really creepy picture.  I tried to get a picture of the sign language translator but he was too far away and it would have been an obvious picture. So no picture of him.

I went to Grant's house to pick him up and there were no parking spots so I parked in a no parking zone for literally 2 minutes and got booted.  I was annoyed to say the least.  It was kind of funny though.  Never been booted before.

Then Grant and I made cupcakes! They are supposed to be chocolate cupcakes with caramel filling and whipped ganache frosting. However, we didn't have a candy thermometer so the caramel was too thin and we didn't chill the ganache long enough.  They still taste ok. I had... 3... today.  I haven't eaten much else haha.

Jenna and I went to the candy store today!  It looks so cute on the outside so we went in to try their candy.  Honestly, the candy and chocolate were disappointing.  The shop was so cute on the inside.  Jenna got a picture of it.  It has castles cute painted walls. Then we went to Taco Bell.  That's where we ate the chocolate.  We be classy.

Wingers and Dodgeball
Wingers and dodgeball aren't the best combination.  However.  That is what we did yesterday.
I ate my first wingers and wanted to puke by the end. It was pretty funny.

Then we went to one of the local kid's church dodgeball games. Rachel totally slew at it.  She was always last in.

Then to top off the night I got my first ticket.  A parking ticket but still.  Bummer.

Snow Skating
We don't have a sled.  We don't even have that much snow.  But yesterday Grant and I went sledding.  On a skateboard with no wheels.  Well.  He went sledding and I shivered.  I tried once and slipped and slid down the hill.  So cold and wet.

Road trip home
The drive back to the Burg:

We listened to Grant's wide variety of CDs including the soundtrack to a Canadian drama.  Yes.  CDs. He still owns those.

We stopped in Vegas for our last dose of In-n-Out.  I actually ate a hamburger.  Weird.  I know.

Emi sleeping(:

It took us 14 hours of active driving and one night spent in civilization.

Late Nights
So this week has had a million birthdays.  Jenna's was this week and KD's.  Adam's was the day after. So many!

Adam also got his mission call yesterday.  Talk about a sweet birthday present.  He's going to Zimbabwe!  How cool is that.

Jenna and I have been going on many late night adventures, one of them being a trip to Denny's.  Which is honestly the only place open.  Not even IHOP was open.

Campus is all decorated for Christmas!  So we celebrated.
It is currently 10 degrees outside and lightly snowing.  I want to die a little.  Its dreadful.

Ice Skating
Tonight we went ice skating!  I've only been ice skating one other time in my life, so this was an adventure.  The ice rink wasn't the most smooth... and I am not the best skater... Therefore, it was a challenge for me.  A fun challenge though.   After that we got hot chocolate and played Scrabble.

I really appreciate this picture because I caught some kid just fall on his face.

Also.  We had a huge debate on how to say the word "cupcake" in Spanish.  I consulted with the internet and a few people who speak Spanish.  No one has a clear answer on it.  My favorite one, however, is kekitos.

Staycation
This weekend Kenz decided we needed a staycation.  Or any kind of leaving this itty bitty town.  So we got a hotel in the nearest location of civilization.  It was actually really fun.  We got to use their jacuzzi and sauna.  Which meant I got to wear my new swimsuit.  Today we went shopping and last night we went to Olive Garden.  The only bummer of this weekend is that it has finally begun snowing.  Its so terrible.  I am now learning how to drive in snow.  When we first went out this morning, my car door was frozen shut and there was ice all over the windows and mirrors.  I had to actually scrap it off with my ice scraper thing.

STAYCATION!

Our hotel room

The chicken on our balcony.  Hahhahahah

GEESE

Our hotel had a phone by the toilet....

We waited at Olive Garden forever.  There were so many people there.  We got a free breadstick while we waited.  That was pretty cool.  We've never had that happen before.

Our waiter took a bite?

SAUNA

While we were in civilization, we got Starbucks!  They have their holiday cups!  We were so excited.  It was the perfect thing to drink while the wind blew the snow all over.
Now we are going to watch the Twilight movies #2 and #3.  Preparing for the next one(: Hahah lame.  We know. Also Immortals is coming out soon.  I AM SO EXCITED.
