Trying to find things to do in the middle of nowhere.

Somewhere, deep in the middle of nowhere...
Well.  Here we are.  Back in the godforsaken middle of nowhere.
Kind of feels like I never left.  On the plus side, there's still about a month till the horrid snow comes.
On the downside... Well there's a lot on the downside.  However.  My apartment is falling apart.  It's a funny part of the downside. Lemme tell ya about it.  First off, it looks like a grandma house. Every door knob is falling off and the screw hole is striped. My bed has no umph so I am sleeping on wood every night.  I almost made the dishwasher explode.  It leaked everywhere.  The doors don't have real locks; rather they have those push and turn in knobs.  Like that works well. There's a rip in the carpet.  The carpet also is crunchy in some places.... Its filthy everywhere haha.  The plugs are placed in really random places. Its really humorous.
I also need more hangers.  But that is totally off topic.
My books cost $700.  Most were bought used.  Painful much?
I need to take a trip to my cupcake store.  They make amazing cupcakes.  Mmm.

Too Much TV and Too Much Thinking Time
Okay so there's something that's been on my mind this last week.  The concept of cheating in regards to premarital relationships.  It first occurred to me a few days ago when I watched an epidsode of Sex and the City where the girls were talking about what cheating is and how it is different to every person.  It's like this massive grey area that is defined by personal experience or something.  I love all things that are relative to the enviroment of the individual.  So this interested me immensely.

So naturally I started asking my friends what cheating meant to them. What is it?  Is it definable? Have they ever cheated?  Were they ever given the opportunity?  It was really interesting hearing some of the similarities and the differences between the different answers.  There are some strict versions were nothing is tolerated and others where as long as they aren't sleeping together its fine.  Some feel it can be forgiven.  While others feel it is the unforgivable sin.   Completely subjective.  My mom has always told me that its not cheating till you're married.  I don't think that is exactly true.

Well.  I think my little sister is yelling at me in my sleep to stop typing... even though I am in the other room... It is really late though.  No wonder this is such a weird topic to write about on a blog.

The real question.
So. I have to give a talk in church today. Many of you are probably thinking that isn't really a big deal. I mean. I am a political science major and talking in front of people doesn't usually phase me. Well. Church talks do. I'm talking hyperventalating thinking about puking reaction to church talks. I started working on my talk yesterday at around 1. Its nearly 24 hours later and I do not have nearly enough material to talk for 15 minutes.
On the plus side none of my close friends will be attending this meeting. Speaking to strangers is a lot less intimidating. They won't call you out on sounding stupid because that would just be rude. My dad is going to watch me talk though.
But here is the real question. What should I wear to church today? I am infamous for being so indecisive about what to wear that I will miss the entire meeting. So. I have narrowed it down to 3 options:
1) Long grey mesh skirt with a black shirt and my green heels with gold jewlery.
2) My short yellow skirt black heels and whatever shirt matches/strikes my fancy.
3) Or my tan dress, green heels, gold jewlery and I don't know what belt or sash.
Okay maybe I need to narrow it down a little more. Hm.
Whatever I'm just avoiding working on my talk more. Wish me luck.

Shhhhhh!

My baby brother an I have been avoiding the heat and being productive lately. This last week has been terribly hot. WEll. I think so. 87 is hot to me. Anyway.
BabyJ needed to do his summer homework because he is a smarty pants and is taking honors and AP clases next year. However, he weas a not so smarty pants and waited till the last second to start his massive load of homework.
Whatever.
WE already spend an abnormal amount of time at our public library anyway. This week we went almost every day for at least 2 1/2 hours. Yay for studying.
But really. The library is the best. Baby J and I always talk about how convenient our library is. It has everything. If the end of the world ever comes we decided the library would be the safest place. It's massice. On a hill. Easily defended. Has its own energy source in the form of solar panels. Cafe downstairs so a food source. A huge park if we get really desperate for food. Hahah. Surrounded bywater. Medical books and other informative materal. Etc. So now you know the deep discussions I have with my brother haha.

(He would be so offended to know I called him Baby J on this... hehehe)

AQUARIUM
This technically doesn't belong on this blog because currently I am not stranded in the god forsaken middle of nowhere.  No indeed. I am home.  However.  It was fun.
The aquarium in my area is having a discounted summer nights special.  Tickets are only $13 rather than $25 for adults.  I've been dying to go all summer.  Aquariums and museums are highly entertaining to me.  So tonight my friends J.M. and D.F. and I finally went.  I adore the aquarium!
We stared on ground level and got to see all the amazing fish there.
We walked outside after that and saw the shark exhibit.  In this exhibit there is an area that you can touch the sting rays and the sharks.  It so neat!  I was the only one willing to really stick my arm in the nasty water but it was so cool nonetheless. We also saw the full grown sharks.  SO COOL.  There was a ray in there that was so big!  I have never seen a ray that large.  It was bigger than all the sharks with it.
Sting rays are my favorite to touch(:

D.F. and J.M. hanging with the fishies.

This guy is a praying mantus shrimp.  Something like that anyway.  He has one of the most powerful punches in the ocean.

I love jellyfish! They are so interesting.  In one of the exhibits you could touch the jellyfish.  It was so soft and kind of slimy.

Jellyfish!

Jenna and the weedy sea dragons.

These guys ^^ are my favorite sea creature of all time.  Even above otters.  They are the coolest looking sea dragons ever.

The weedy sea dragons
These guys take a close second in my heart.  They are the weedy sea dragons.  So so cool.

After the aquarium we got crepes.  They were so so amazingly good.  Makes me miss France even more. Today ended up being a pretty good, fun filled day.

Messing with the style
I am making this blog pretty.  And I promise to actually use and take pictures for it.  Further, I will make it worth while to read.  I'm going to go live now.
